After Pascal Siakam left The Raptors, every fan was left with an empty feeling in their hearts.

After a few weeks, Siakam would return to Toronto, this time playing with his new team. Since the game day would be right on Valentine’s Day, why not express Toronto’s love for Siakam.

Also, the short timeline of 4 days to ideate and launch the campaign was a wild ride.

SIAKAM MURAL

The main piece of the campaign was a Valentine’s Day declaration from Toronto to Siakam displayed in the Jurassic Park besides the Siakam Swirl McFlurry Truck.

VALENTINE'S CARDS

Obviously we couldn’t miss the opportunity to have Valentine’s Day Cards with Siakam lines to give away to people. They were distributed in front of Scotiabank Arena and also Displayed in the Union Station McDonald’s.

THE MURAL

I got to design and ideate in all the pieces of this campaign, but my favourite one to work by far was the Siakam Mural.

The ask was to design a street style mural for Siakam with the copy “Toronto Loves You”. All the graphics I used on the mural were hand-drawn and then digitalized into the board. The fact that I had very little image resources made me get a little bit more crafty and analog and get away from the computer for a while while I created the board, it was an awesome experience!

This was the first project I worked that had a physical piece and I was very excited!

Pascal also loved the poster version we gave to him!
